When was the Faculty Association formed?

The Faculty Association was formed in 1976, after the legislature passed the Educational Employment Relations Act (EERA), which established collective bargaining for the California community colleges. In 1978, the faculty of the college voted to make the Association the exclusive representative of all college faculty in the arena of collective bargaining.

    Our collective bargaining agreement with the District ends August 31, 2010.  Your Negotiating Council is working diligently to prepare for the upcoming negotiations.  Your opinion is critically important to help guide our efforts.  In early November, you should have received an email invitation to complete the Negotiating Council’s Faculty Survey.help the Negotiating Council pursue your interests effectively by sharing your opinion on our wages, benefits and working conditions.
