    Hello.  I am pleased to be the new editor of the FAB. I have been with the English Department here at Santa Monica College off and on since 2001.  During most of that time, I also taught philosophy at El Camino College.  I am now a full-time Reading Instructor here at SMC.

    I am excited to be working with the Faculty Association.  As I read the articles that comprise the first FAB of the academic year, I sense that our contributors will offer great insight into the value that the FA brings.  We plan six newsletters for this academic year and hope to offer a new and interesting look.  Please feel free to contact me with your comments.  All the best.
