Yes. Article 17.2.8 of the contract states that part-time faculty earn sick leave at the rate of 6 hours for every 100 hours of teaching service.

Candidates for the SMC Board of Trustees will appear Thursday evening, September 12, in B111, starting at 6 p.m.  The candidates forum is jointly sponsored by CSEA and the Faculty Association.  Food and refreshments will be provided.  This year during the last hour of the forum there will be questions from the audience.

      The following candidates have agreed to appear: incumbents Nancy Cattell, Dorothy Ehrhart-Morrison, and Herb Roney, and challengers Nancy Greenstein and Bill Winslow.  Incumbent Carole Currey, a 24-year veteran of the Board, declined to appear, citing a previous commitment.

      All faculty and staff are invited, and all should attend!
