By Ken Mason Are you tired of the same old tangled web of bureaucratic run-around? Are you concern about your social security numbers floating out there in the public domain? Do you think that the load factor is an unfair bias against vocational and technical courses? Do you want your reassigned time back? Do you want some accountability regarding issuance of pay checks? Well here's a chance to make a difference. Four Board of Trustee seats will be up for election in November, 2002. This is our chance to get a few more pro-faculty, pro-staff, pro-student members elected to the Board. We are looking for candidates interested in accountability, fiscal responsibility, and willing to establish good and positive relations with the civic leaders, community groups, and area businesses. We need volunteers to participate in our community wide canvass. You do not have to be a resident of Santa Monica to get involve. There are meetings to attend, issues to explain, alliances to be made with community, civic, teacher, municipal and labor groups. Come and help us identify viable and credible candidates who will put education above bureaucracy. Give me a call at 310-434-4394 or send me an email at
