We are gearing up for a new round of negotiations. The Negotiating Council has crafted a faculty survey. The survey was distributed on Monday, October 16, and should be returned to the Faculty Association ballot box in the campus mailroom no later than Noon on Friday, October 27. You will be asked to rank your interests from these categories: Salary, Benefits, Assignments and Load, Professional Development and Working Conditions. Negotiations with the District should start in the Spring term. In addition to the faculty survey, the council is placing the final touches on our sunshine letter. This letter is a public declaration of the items to be considered for contract negotiations. We are working toward completing the sunshine letter for the November Board meeting agenda. The upcoming contract negotiations are the codification of the colleges commitment to an academic working environment whose sole interests is a quality education. The Faculty Association welcomes and values your support!
