Yes. Article 17.2.8 of the contract states that part-time faculty earn sick leave at the rate of 6 hours for every 100 hours of teaching service.

"The following items are especially important to part-timers: Questions # 2 & 3 & 4 -- SALARY and BENEFITS and LOAD are all issues which affect us directly. Please select 'a,' 'b,' and 'c' as your answers to these 3 questions (your choice as to which letter goes with which number). Question # 5 ... we suggest that choice 'c' really speaks to part-timer issues. Question # 8 ... we want to Expand full eligibility for all faculty, so choose 'b.' Question 11 ... choice 'c,' (Seniority for part-time faculty) deals with an important issue.

Of course, exercise your right to respond any way you choose. As part-time representatives, however, we want to bring these particular issues to your attention."
