I. Approval of Minutes - November 6, 2008

II. FACCC Dues Recommendation

Motion from the Executive Committee

    The Executive Committee recommends that the Assembly adopt the following motion regarding an increase in FACCC dues:

    1.  That the Assembly put to a vote of the faculty (including agency fee payers) a proposal to increase FACCC dues for SMC faculty pursuant to our contract with FACCC;

    2.  That the Assembly unanimously recommends a "yes" vote of the faculty to increase FACCC dues.

    3.  That individual FACCC dues be increased from $135 to $162 per year per full time faculty member and from $35 to $40 per year per part-time faculty member.

    4.  That approval of this increase will amend the Faculty Association's contract with FACCC;

    5.  That the Elections Committee will be responsible for setting a date for the election sometime during the Spring 2009 semester;

    6.  That the Elections Committee will provide educational materials on FACCC and the dues increase to be included with the ballots.
