Do part-time faculty earn sick leave?

Yes. Article 17.2.8 of the contract states that part-time faculty earn sick leave at the rate of 6 hours for every 100 hours of teaching service.

Expenditures not in the annual budget in excess of $3000 must be voted upon by the full membership, in accordance with Article IX, Section D, 3, by placing ballots in their mailboxes accompanied by a full explanation of the nature of the expenditure(s).

III. Motion from the Executive Committee - Executive Committee Motion: In order to save employment for part-time faculty, the Representative Assembly encourages full-time faculty to voluntarily reduce their intersession assignments (summer and winter).


IV. Motion from the Executive Committee

The Executive Committee recommends to the Representative Assembly the report of the Joint Academic Senate - Faculty Association Ad Hoc Committee on the Budget Crisis of April 9, 2003 and urges the Association to endorse.
