Beverly Tholen was recognized and thanked by the whole Assembly for her many years of excellent service as chair of theElections Committee. B. So far there are only eight names of fulltime faculty members who have indicated that they will retire by June 30, so the incentives offered if 15 people retire do not appear to be forthcoming. C. Concerning the possible change in health benefit providers, Faculty Association has more questions to be answered. The district administration wishes to change from Perscare to a system called SISC, under which a group of Southern California schools and colleges are insured for less than the cost of Perscare. More information will be forwarded to faculty as soon as it is available to the union. D. Report on CCCI. E. FACCC focus group on May 30 was productive. F. CPFA Report-Andrew Walzer has a meeting scheduled with Randy Lawson to discuss classes for adjunct faculty for Fall 2003. Since the state budget cuts are not as large as originally feared, perhaps some class sections can be restored, to the benefit of both students and adjunct professors. III.
