Meeting was called to order at 11:15 A.M.

 

I.                   I.                   President’s Report – Lantz Simpson

 

A.                 A.                 The Negotiating Council is meeting regularly to analyze the faculty survey.

 

B.         The PAC Fundraiser is scheduled for May 22, 4-7 P.M. at Joan Mills’ home.  There will be cocktails, food, jazz, and speakers for only $50.00.

 

II.        Spring 2004-05 Elections – Dennis Frisch

 

            A.        Nominations are open from 4/22-5/07.

 

            B.         Ballots will be prepared and in mailboxes by 5/17.

 

            C.         Voting closes at 12 noon on 6/02.

 

D.                 Motion to waive two subsections of by-laws for Spring, 2004

 

That Article IX, Section B, Subsections 3 and 4 be waived for the duration of the Spring, 2004 Elections, and that the electoral divisions as constituted for the Spring 2003 elections be used for the Spring, 2004 elections.

 

Passed unanimously

 

 

 

III.              Nominations from the floor

 

Ann Maddox nominated Kathy Sucher for Recording Secretary.

 

Alan Buckley seconded.

 

IV.       For the Good of the Order

 

            The Faculty Association “Sunshine letter” was accepted by the Board of Trustees.
