I. Approval of Minutes for May 19, 2000 Passed unanimously.

II. Installation of New Officers Ñ Fran Chandler President Ñ Lantz Simpson Vice President - Ken Mason Chief Negotiator Ñ Robert Flores Secretary Ñ Ann Maddox (Treasurer, Mitra Moassessi continues her term.)

III. Approval of 2000-2001 Negotiating Council Ñ Robert Flores Negotiating Council Nominees Robert Flores Lantz Simpson Mitra Moassessi Martin Goldstein Dennis Frisch Beverly Tholen One seat vacant. Approval of the Negotiating Council was moved by Robert Flores and seconded by Ken Mason. Approval was unanimous with the understanding that the vacant seat will be filled as soon as possible.

IV. V. Nomination and Election of At-large Executive Committee Aida Mostkoff- Linares, Bill Price and David Zehr were nominated to serve as at-large Executive Committee members. The Chair asked for approval by acclamation. Ben Martin so moved and Fran Manion seconded. At-large members were elected by acclamation.

VI. Update on ChancellorÕs Ruling and 50% Law Task Force Ñ Teri Bernstein Teri Bernstein reported that the Chancellor released his ruling on June 20 and we are awaiting clarification.

VII. Political Action Report Ñ Ken Mason Ken Mason reported that the second interview of candidates for Santa Monica College Board of Trustees will be held on September 27 at 6:30 p.m. in Business 111. A fundraiser for the Santa Monica College Faculty Association Political Action Committee fund will be held on October 7. Details will follow. Deduction forms for the PAC will be available soon.
