All members have the right to run for any elective office. Association elections are held every spring. The Constitution and Bylaws of the Association are posted on this website. Paper copies are available upon request.

Spring 2008: The FA membership voted in spring 2008  that future Faculty Association budgets contain an annual line item for “PAC contribution,” the amount per faculty member to be determined each year by a vote of the Representative Assembly

SMCFA - PAC Mission
To finance political efforts supporting candidates and ballot measures in the district and in the state which advance the interests of students, taxpayers, and faculty in the district and in the state.
 

Members of the SMCFA - PAC are persons who are members of the SMC Faculty Association and who have contributed $35 or more to the SMCFA - PAC or who have signed up for voluntary payroll deduction for the PAC. Make your check out to SMCFA - PAC, or obtain a voluntary payroll deduction form by calling the FA Office: (310) 434-4394


Contributions from community members are welcome.  Contributions of $100 or more in one calendar year require by law disclosure of the following information: name, address, and employer. Please contact the Faculty Association Office: (310) 434-4394
