What is the "contract"?

The contract spells out the salaries, working conditions, and grievance rights for faculty at SMC. The current collective bargaining agreement (also known as the "contract") is in effect from August 21, 2007, to August 23, 2010. A complete copy of the agreement is posted on this website. Paper copies are available upon request to any faculty who wants one.

Resolution on FACCC Membership

Approved unanimously, 11 October 2008, at the Fall 2008 CCCI Conference, San Diego

Whereas the Faculty Association of California Community Colleges (FACCC) has been an effective advocate for community college faculty in Sacramento and a consistent source of support for college faculty statewide, and

Whereas there is great need for community college faculty to coordinate advocacy efforts and to work together to educate the legislature and the public about the importance of investment in community colleges, and

Whereas the California Community College Independents (CCCI) is dedicated to mutual support between faculty organizations and to strengthening the voice of community college faculty in Sacramento,

Be it resolved that CCCI endorses FACCC’s mission and pledges to support FACCC’s efforts to increase membership among our faculty.
