The intent of this MOU is to support the Applied Music Program of the Music Department and its special one-on-one instructor-student relationships.  Rather than paying full-time faculty on schedule A-6 or part-time faculty on schedule B-3 for their Music 92
assignments, Music 92 assignments will receive a stipend for 18 hours of individualized instruction per student.

Therefore, the District and the Faculty Association agree as follows:

1. Stipend Payment:  Appendix R shall be changed as follows:

“Music 92 $1,350/student/semester”

2. Non-Precedent Setting:  This contract change shall be a non-precedent setting change that applies to no other courses offered by the Music Department.
