SCOPE OF AGREEMENT

14.1  This Agreement shall constitute the full and complete commitment between both Parties.

14.2  During the term of this Agreement, the District shall consult with the Association prior to taking any action to adopt a policy or procedure within the scope of the Act. The Association expressly waives the right to negotiate and agrees that the District shall not be obligated to negotiate with respect to any subject not covered in this Agreement.

14.3  The Parties agree to limit the scope of this Agreement so that The District may continue the past practice of conferring with the Santa Monica College Academic Senate on matters now included in the Act and not covered by this Agreement. In addition, this Agreement may explicitly direct the District to confer with the Academic Senate.

14.4  This agreement is to be reopened for amendments to the contract at such time as the study committees have reached agreement and made recommendations to the parties of this contract.

14.5  No item included in this Agreement shall be altered, changed, added to, deleted from, or modified except through the voluntary and mutual consent of the Parties in a written and signed amendment to this Agreement.
