Membership Section A: Rights of Membership - Members in good standing are entitled to hold office, vote as provided in the Bylaws, attend any general, Representative Assembly, or social meetings of the Association, and serve as a member or a chair of Association committees. Regardless of the number of positions held, no member shall have more than one vote. Members who are also employees of the Association are not eligible to hold any of the five constitutional offices or to serve on the Negotiating Council and shall abstain from voting on Association personnel matters.
- Dues
- Full-time Faculty:
Any tenured or probationary member employed for more than half time shall pay full membership dues. If employed for half time or less, a regular or contract members shall pay 50% of full membership dues. - Hourly-rate Faculty:
A member employed by the District on an hourly-rate basis shall in no case pay more than half the dues of a full membership. - Annual Dues:
Annual dues shall be fixed by majority vote of the membership by secret ballot. A member whose dues are not paid on time shall lose membership standing and shall not regain same until dues are brought up to date.
